Las Vegas Development Co., is a commercial real estate development and brokerage firm specializing in fee development and tenant representation. Founded in 1995 under the direction of Managing Member & Broker, Carl D. Marcello Las Vegas Development Company has become one of the Valley’s most respected and sought after firms in the greater Las Vegas area.

As fee developers, landlords and brokers, Las Vegas Development Co. is experienced in all phases of the development process from conception to completion. We have been entrusted with the stewardship of some of the Valley’s most prominent projects including Towbin Car Dealerships and the Las Vegas Club Tower.

CARL D. MARCELLO

Managing Member / Broker

Carl D. Marcello is the Managing Member/Broker and 100% owner of Las Vegas Development Company, LLC., a full service commercial real estate development and brokerage firm.

Marcello graduated from Bryant College in Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and went on to begin his career as a Staff Accountant. He soon became a Senior Accountant and was responsible for providing advanced accounting, tax, and audit services to a variety of businesses with a concentration in real estate. During this time Marcello became a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Rhode Island. Marcello then left accounting to become a Principal and Executive Vice President of The Foundry Corporate Center in Providence, Rhode Island. As Executive Vice President, Marcello assumed full responsibility for the management, master planning, financing, marketing, and leasing of all company development and construction projects along with managing a staff of 15 employees in accounting, construction, and property management. During Marcello’s tenure he developed approximately 600,000 square feet of office space, 500,000 square feet of retail space, 1000 apartments, and two twenty five acre housing developments. Simultaneously, Marcello became a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the State of Rhode Island and was responsible for the management of a 120 bed skilled nursing home facility. Marcello’s responsibilities included managing 6 department heads and 120 employees, assisting in the preparation and final approval budgets, approving capital expenditures, reviewing monthly financial statements, reviewing all employee evaluations and approving all pay increases, and maintaining compliance with the Federal and State Agencies.

In 1994, Marcello left The Foundry Corporate Center to create the C.D. Marcello Corporation a full service real estate company that grew to a professional and support staff of ten. He negotiated lease agreements and supervised capital improvements, maintenance and modifications of 2,000 residential units and 1,500,000 square feet of retail and office space.

In 1996, Marcello relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada and accepted the position Director of Project Development for J.A. Tiberti Construction Co., Inc. As Director, Marcello worked directly with Tito Tiberti the company’s President and managed large-scale commercial, industrial, and hotel/casino projects from inception to completion and created new development opportunities for the company. This included contracting and coordinating a development team of architects, estimators, project managers, superintendents, interior designers, and engineers. At Tiberti, Marcello also interacted with individual and corporate clients, city, county, and state officials, inspectors, attorneys, contractors, utilities, financial institutions and real estate brokers for the planning, development, financing and marketing of large scale real estate investments.

Marcello is a member of the Aurora Civic Association of Rhode Island, the Social Register of Las Vegas, the House of Blues Foundation Room, the Sterling Club, the Sons of Italy, the National Italian American Foundation, TPC Summerlin Country Club, the International Council of Shopping Centers, National Association of Realtors, The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. Marcello is a Trustee of the Nevada Development Authority and serves on the Presidents Council.

 

 

Matt Stone

Principal

Matt Stone joined Las Vegas Development Company in April 2002. During his tenure at LVDC Matt has primarily focused in the areas of landlord and tenant representation, commercial leasing and sales.

Over the past six years Matt has leased well over 1,000,000 SF of retail space and has brokered several shopping center sales and land transactions. Matt currently represents 8 landlords in the leasing of 10 properties totaling over 1.8 million SF of retail space in Las Vegas and Laughlin.

Matt has risen to the top of his field and is respected by his peers. He is known for his high level of expertise and recognized as one of the best retail brokers in Las Vegas.  Matt was awarded the Co-Star Group’s “Power Broker” award for being among the Top 5 Retail Brokers in Las Vegas based on leasing volume for 2006.  The same distinction is anticipated for 2007 as he has logged a personal record year in leasing.

In 1989 Matt relocated to Las Vegas where he spent the next thirteen years working with the 24 Hour Fitness organization who acquired Family Fitness and served as a District and Regional Manager developing and managing new locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley. His duties included site selection, development, lease negotiation, and staffing. Matt was then transferred to Salt Lake City where he performed the same functions and developed three 45,000 SF facilities and managed over 200 employees.

Matt is a member of The Nevada Development Authority, NAIOP, The International Council of Shopping Centers, National Association of Realtors and The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors. He holds a CCLS certification and is pursuing the CCIM designation.

Matt’s Business philosophy is to be the boutique broker that truly takes the time to personally see to all of his clients needs.
